Time Magazine names Pico Neo 2 Eye as one of the Top-100 inventions in 2020

The Pico Neo 2 Eye VR Headset, with built-in Tobii Eye Tracking, was recently recognized by Time Magazine as one of the top-100 inventions of 2020.

Time selected the Pico Neo 2 Eye because the headset matches or exceeds many other entertainment-oriented headsets in quality and performance, but stands out due to being a stand-alone headset which is suitable for use in corporate environments. The Pico Neo 2 Eye also stands out for its integration of Tobii Eye Tracking capabilities.

The article says: “That tech (Tobii Eye Tracking) comes in handy for seeing exactly what part of a new product a customer is ogling or helping an employee learn a new skill—so it’s no wonder that some of the headset’s earliest adopters include companies like HTX Labs and Strivr, which develop virtual solutions for professional training.”

This is not the first time that Tobii Eye Tracking has been a key part of products recognized by Time Magazine. In 2019 the VR headset HTC Vive Pro Eye was selected for Time’s list.

Tobii announced the integration with Pico Neo 2 Eye in January 2020 at CES. Pico Neo 2 Eye was the first commercially available headset to feature Tobii Eye Tracking and the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 Mobile XR Platform.
