Message banking now available within Snap

Message Banking is a project between Tobii Dynavox and Boston Children’s Hospital Department of Otolaryngology with the goal to provide a free and open message bank for people at risk of losing their voice. It could be used by individuals diagnosed with ALS while they still have the ability to use natural speech, or for someone who wants to store their voice in the event they temporarily or permanently lose their voice due to a medical procedure.

Tobii Dynavox has now developed special features in their symbol-based communication software Snap Core First, making it easier to import and use banked messages. This has previously been available in Communicator 5, Tobii Dynavox’s communication software for emerging and literate users. By adding the features to Snap Core First, more individuals now have an easier and accessible way to bank and use their voice.
