Tobii Pro Glasses 3 wins two prestigious design awards

Tobii Pro’s flagship product Pro Glasses 3 has been awarded by two of the most important design institutions in Europe and beyond. Together with McKinsey Design, who Tobii Pro partnered with in the design development of Pro Glasses 3, they won Red Dot Award: Product Design 2021 and iF Design Award.

Each year, iF International Forum Design in Germany organizes one of the world’s most celebrated and valued design competitions and this year, almost 10 000 submissions came from 60 different countries. The Red Dot Award goes back as far as 1955 and recognizes the best products for a given year. The roughly 50 jurors awarded Tobii Pro Glasses 3 the distinction “Red Dot”, which stands for high design quality.

“The winners of the Red Dot Award: Product Design 2021 were particularly impressive this year. The design of their products is excellent, in terms of both the aesthetic and the functionality. It’s not easy to prevail in such a strong field of competitors and to win over our jury. Consequently, I want to congratulate the laureates very sincerely on their success,” said Professor Dr. Peter Zec, founder and CEO of Red Dot.

Tobii Pro Glasses 3 is the third generation of wearable eye tracking glasses from Tobii Pro and delivers robust eye tracking and accurate gaze data while giving users the freedom to move and interact naturally. Some of its new features include 16 illuminators and 4 eye cameras integrated into scratch-resistant lenses, which allows for optimal positioning and provides an unobstructed view for the wearer.

Glasses 3 will also be seen in Red Dot’s online exhibition from June 21, which also marks the beginning of the Red Dot Design Week, during which this year’s award winners and Glasses 3 will be celebrated online. From June 22, Glasses 3 will also be included in the exhibition “Design on Stage” in the Red Dot Design Museum Essen, where all of the award-winning products are showcased.
